How To Get Kim Kardashian's Bronzy Smoky Eye

When it comes to creating makeup looks for Kim Kardashian her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic tells UsMagazine.com that Kardashian, 29, is "the most stunning muse a makeup artist could have."

"We are both perfectionists and don't like to rush makeup," he tells Us.

Dedivanovic, who said it normally takes about an hour to create Kardashian's makeup looks, shares that now that Kardashian is single, her makeup look is "minimal and fresh."

"She does love bronze colors and nude lips," he said.

Here's how to get Kardashian's bronzy, smoky eye look:

1. Start out with a bit of foundation on the eyelids and set with loose powder. This will give your lids the perfect base to apply shadows and blend them flawlessly.

2. Take a medium to dark shimmery shade of either copper, bronze or slate and apply all over the lids up to the crease. Try MAC PRO Reflects in Antique Gold.

3. Using a clean soft brush, blend that out towards the temples. I like to blend up as well for a great smokey cat eye. Line all along the upper lash line with a black pencil and go thicker with the line towards the outter corners.

4. Using a small brush or Q-Tip, blend the top line a bit so that the liner blends into the shadow on the lid.

5. Curl lashes and apply a couple of coats of mascara. Try Lancome's Hypnose Drama mascara for great volume and length.

6. Clean off the under eye area with a makeup wipe. Apply concealer underneath the eyes. Try Smashbox High Definition Liquid Concealer.

7. Set concealer with a loose powder. Use the black pencil along the inner rim of the eyes and feel free to go outside of the inner rim and along the lower lashes just a bit.

8. Using the copper shadow on a smaller brush, smoke the lower lash line right below the black line. Blend with a clean brush so there are no harsh lines.

9. Finish the eyes with black mascara on the lower lashes as well.

How to Get Kim’s Bronzy Smoky Eyes

Remember this look that I gave Kim in NYC a few months ago? Well, US Magazine.com interviewed me and they’ve got all the info that shows how you can create this bronzy and smokey eye makeup. Visit US Magazine to read the interview and learn how to Get The Face! Xo Mario

Get The Face! Kim K @ the CEW Awards

How to makeup tutorial:

FACE
On her skin I applied Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation blended with a bit of moisturizer, and used LaMer concealer under her eyes. I then set her face with Shu Uemura loose powder.

For a subtle glow, I sweep EYE M GLAM highlighter by Giella Cosmetics onto the cheekbones, bridge of nose and cupids bow, and applied Hot Mama blush by The Balm.

EYES
For her eyes I swept EYE M GLAM highlighter on her lids and on the inner corners of eyes to brighten and open up the eyes, and used a touch right on the brow bone too. I also filled her brows with MAC Brow Pencil in Linering, and lined the top lids with Lancome’s Art Liner extending it out and up past the eye.

I then applied Sephora Collection Flashy Liner in Flashy Brown on the inner rim of her eyes and smudged a bit along the lash line too, and finished the look by curling her lashes and applying two coats of Smashbox Hyperlash Mascara in black to both top and bottom lashes.

LIPS
Finally for her lips, I applied JK Jemma Kidd Sheer Vanity Gloss and Glaze in Belle de Jour.

GET THE FACE! Kim K at Leather & Laces, continued…

As promised, here is the complete “Get The Face” breakdown of products that I used on Kim for the Leather & Laces event in Miami. I hope you try out the look and send me images. I would love to feature photos of you girls that do your makeup inspired by my “get the face” posts.

On skin- Creme de la Mer Moisturizing Cream all over skin first. NARS sheer glow foundation in Barcelona applied with a sponge. Under eyes, use Smashbox Camera Ready Full Coverage Concealer in Meduim Vanilla. Set the face with Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder in #2 using very little.

Brows are filled in with Brow Sculpting Pencil by Sephora, in Medium. Brush them through with the opposite end of the pencil once filled in.

Eyes – Sweep Josie Maran EyeShadow in Vintage all over the lid. On the crease and also smoked along the lower lashine, use Cacao EyeShadow, also by Josie Maran. Line the upper lash line with Sephoras Doe Eyed Felt eyeliner in Black. L’oreal Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black on top and bottom lashes. For some added drama, use the long individual false lashes by Ardell on the outter upper corners.

Warm up and frame the face with Smashbox bronzer in Suntanne Matte. Also brush some on the hollows of the cheeks. Sweep NYC New York Color Color Wheel in Peach Glow on the apples of the cheeks and a bit across the forehead and chin.

To get that gorgeous, glowing skin, use EYE M GLAM highlighter. Brush it on your cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose and right on the cupids bow of upper lip. I also used it on her brow bones and inner corner of her eyes.

Line lips with Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide on Lip Pencil in Heavy (shimmery nude shade). Use Captivating Coral lipstick by Motives and follow with Covergirl Wetslicks gloss in Fig.

Get the Face!: Kim K at Leather & Laces in Miami - A People StyleWatch exlusive

It’s finally out! This look that I gave Kim at the Leather & Laces event in Miami during Superbowl weekend has been the most requested “Get the Face.” People Style Watch had the exclusive on it and now you do too! I loved the entire look on Kim. Monica Rose styled her beautifully in a all nude look and I was very inspired by the color and textures. Look above to find out which products I used on Kim or pick up a copy of the current issue of People Style Watch, page 94. The mag also gives you the “look for less.” Stay tuned for the complete list of products I used – I will share the rest of the look very soon. Xo Mario
